FREDERICKTOWN, OHIO. (April 4, 2017) — Christopher Whiteley has been promoted to quality assurance manager at the Schafer Industries driveline facilities in Fredericktown and Blacklick, Ohio, announced General Manager Chuck Tate. In his role, Whiteley will oversee all plant quality functions and work with the manufacturing group to facilitate continuous improvements in manufacturing best practices, lean production and field repair techniques. Tate said Whiteley was selected to fill the position opened when former QA Manager Rosie Cestari retired March 31.
Whiteley has 18 years of experience at the Fredericktown facility. He most recently served 10 years as manufacturing engineer and the previous eight years in quality roles. Whiteley is in the process of earning an associate science/industrial engineering degree through Penn Foster College, Scranton, Penn.
In making the announcement, Tate said, “Chris has dedicated his career to developing and improving our ergonomic manufacturing processes and enhancing our plant safety and product quality. The transition from Rosie to Chris will be seamless for our manufacturing team and customers.”
